Is it bad to travel on Sunday???

This is what I'm starting to think. We had planned our camping trip to Flaming Gorge a while ago. My sister Suzy and her 2 kids came, a long with Dan's cousin Emily & her husband and their 2 kids. On our way up, there was some really big ugly clouds and some rain. There was also lots of lightning which I have to say was very entertaining. This kind of weather is NOT good camping weather. Especially if you were staying at a boat access only site like us. We stopped to have dinner at Golden Coral and by the time we were finished the weather was beautiful! Yay, the storm had past us!! We could finally go camping in ease, or could we????I had to run into Smiths to by Dan some sun glasses. That's a story in itself. As I came out, (the 3rd time) I notices everyone out of there cars huddled around the back tire of the trailer. We had a flat and no spare. This is Dan filling the tire up with a can of Fix a Flat.

Everyone posing for a "crying" picture.

Since nothing opened until the morning we stayed the night at Holiday Inn.

Good thing they had a pool!!!

After buying 4 new tires we finally made it!!!

Dan even caught a crafish. It was Brook's little pet.

All the kids had fun in the tubes.

The weather turned out to be great and we all had a fun time. We also had some really yummy dutch over desserts!

Check out our bon fire!!

Beautiful pictures! The lake looks so inviting. I'm glad you finally made it up there and were able to enjoy yourselves. Makes me think of Panther Pond a little.

Looks like fun! Your new boat looks pretty nice as well. I'd like to say wish we were there, but we don't do the camping thing anymore. I'm too much of a wuss to sleep on the ground and not have flush toilets. Cheers!
